About Women4Cyber Foundation
Women4Cyber Foundation was established in 2019, under the patronage of Mariya Gabriel , an initiative that started from the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO), in response to the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals in Europe.
Women4Cyber’s goal of encouraging and promoting the specialization, upskilling, and reskilling of girls and women towards cybersecurity education and careers. Today, the Women4Cyber Foundation represents a community of 33 chapters and nearly 70,000 followers from across Europe.

Women4Cyber Cyprus Chapter
Women4Cyber Cyprus is the local chapter, started in November 2024, consisting of professional women from the cybersecurity industry with long term expertise and knowledge aiming to empower and connect more women in cybersecurity sector.
Our mission is clear, to empower women at all levels of cybersecurity—technical, administrative, and leadership—and to contribute to building an inclusive and resilient digital environment.
Within the first four months of our activity:
- We participated in the Foundation’s annual conference in The Hague, November 2024.
- We took part in the "Cybersecurity Skills Development Conference" organized by The Office of the Commissioner of Communications, December 2024.
- In January 2025, we held the official launch event of our Chapter, under the support and auspices of The Office of the Commissioner of Communications-DSA Mr George Michaelides.
Additionally, we announced our strategic collaboration with HackShield – Future Cyber Heroes.
This is an internationally recognized educational platform that turns cybersecurity training into an interactive and enjoyable experience for children. Through the platform, children are trained to recognize and deal with online threats and to grow into the “Cyber Agents” of tomorrow.
